Durbar Square

A historical site with royal palaces and religious temples, most buildings were severely damaged in the 2015 earthquake. Many were undergoing reconstruction while we were there.

Bouddhanath

The Boudha Stupa is one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world and is particularly significant for many Tibetans. In Nepal, the stupas have Buddha eyes on all four sides of the tower. They symbolise the omniscience of Buddha.
