The Hague

Third largest city in the Netherlands and home to the country’s government, it is also generally recognised as the home of international law. The United Nation’s International Court of Justice is located in the Peace Palace.

Kinderdijk

With roughly one-third of the Netherlands below sea level, the Dutch have a complex country-wide water management system. The nineteen windmills of Kinderdijk were built in 1740 to help prevent flooding.

Keukenhof

Located between Amsterdam and The Hague, the botanical gardens of Keukenhof is one of the largest in the world. It is only open to the public for eight weeks a year during tulip season in the spring.

Delft

A little town known for its hand painted blue and white pottery styled after the imported Chinese porcelain of the 17th century. It is a picturesque Dutch town with lots of places to get a coffee and pannenkoeken.

HanTing Cuisine

HanTing Cuisine is our favourite restaurant in The Hague. A fusion of Chinese and French, the food is creative and well-balanced. It is also reasonably priced for a one Michelin star restaurant.

On our most recent visit, we ordered the Tea Menu with the suggested tea pairings. Each course was served alongside a tea with different herbs according to Chinese dietetics to create harmony in the body.
